So Adventure Time recently did an episode where all the character’s genders were switched.  It was kind of amazing — Fionna and Cake the cat instead of Finn and Jake the dog — and except for the fact that the entire storyline was about boyfriends and going on dates (though the saving moral was that boyfriends and going on dates were not what should fulfill a person’s happiness (and that it was being true to yourself is most important (it should be noticed that Fionna, while a girl, is still just…Finn the girl, who loves swords and fighting and loves the Bubblegum Princess (though I don’t know how to explain a genderspecies change for Cake but as a cat lover I cannot say I do not love her as much as I love Jake (who has also seemed to be pretty queer-friendly, at least when it comes to snails))))), it was a pretty awesome little vignette and now I want…more of it?
